TRASH
TREASURE
These two toned, stacked platform
pumps are a modern Fall take on the
gladiator sandal, a style we have
been loving all Spring and Summer
long.  The thick straps are bold, but
the color choice makes these pumps
more versatile for the workingwoman.
A sophisticated sandal that can take
you from Fall to Spring in comfort.
An item in need of a serious overhaul
want to see this baggy, bulky boot.
Tailored knee length equestrian is a
style that can be kept around for
another season of cold weather, but
enough with this slouchy, sloppy
style.  Eighties inspired footwear is
only a formidable solution when it is a
look inspired by the eighties and
revamped for another generation or
collection.  Unfortunately, these boots
are best kept in the back of your
closet, use them for Halloween or a
theme party, but don’t bring them out
unless absolutely necessary.
Gray is certainly a versatile hue for
Fall, a neutral tone that can be mixed
with bold color or the basics of the
color family.  The ankle boot is a
shape that shows off the anatomy of
the foot, an old school tailored shoe
McQueen with black trim, killer heel
and a clean sleek shape.  These
booties can be worn to the office or
out at night, an easy substitute for
full-length boots or pumps.  Keep this
style in your closet for at least another
season.

RTW feminine details
were a keeper
A feminine and classic coif continue
to cluster the catwalks.  A simple
clean chignon, or a French twist worn
slightly tousled and teased into a soft
up-do, very reminiscent of a do worn
by one of Alfred Hitchcock’s leading
ladies. Add even more ladylike
touches with bows, small broaches
and combs and clips worn slightly
asymmetrically. Keeping this look
clean but not overly finished is key to
keeping this style looking modern
and fresh.

are so "in"
Architectural influence is the key
phrase for suits, dresses and
clothing of strict construction.  Looks
that are geometrically intricate, lines
cut into the human form, making any
item of this fashion instantly eye
catching.  Think strict tailoring with
harder lines and a strong sense of
form, not as much function as it is a
luxury look.  Taking one of these
pieces and pulling it into your own
posh spread makes you instantly
avant-garde and ahead of your time.
The metallic embellishments
at Asprey's Fall collection are
to be treasured for sure
An instant impact is made when
metallic makes a play.  Don’t scrape
all your faux metallic accessories.  A
fun statement when polished off with
a skinny belt.  A helpful hint in wearing
this hue is to make sure you use
metallic sparingly, it can overwhelm
any ensemble when overdone,

Although this embellishment has
lingered for the past few seasons it is
time to retire this design detail.  Store
all items that are overly jeweled,
beaded or bedazzled within a 50-yard
radius of your reach.  This trend is
tested and totally overdone, so save
these simply gaudy gadgets for
another year, or decade, hang on to
items with touches of this
embellishment.  Those touches are
glitzy and will be sure to come in back
