NEW YORK FASHION WEEK

Gen Art has revealed its designer line-up for its annual Fresh Faces in Fashion show, the largest and one of the most credible presentations of rising fashion designers in North America.
The event will be held on Friday, September 9, at the Grand Ballroom of the Manhattan Center in New York City. A cocktail reception will highlight the evening’s four accessory designers -
COLLINA STRADA, FALCONIERE, OSBORN, and WOOL AND THE GANG-, followed by a fashion show featuring the Spring 2012 collections from women’s ready-to-wear designers ACE &
JIG, ANN YEE, EIGHTEENTH, JENNIFER CHUN, SUNGHEE BANG, and WILLIAM OKPO, and menswear designer BARON WELLS.
Gen Art’s Fresh Faces in Fashion is tailored to give up-and-coming designers a platform to showcase their work to an influential audience. Gen Art is responsible for discovering such
talent as Zac Posen, Rodarte, Phillip Lim, Rebecca Taylor, Bensoni, Eugenia Kim, Lulu Frost and Raquel Allegra. Several Gen Art alumni designers have gone on to win the coveted
emerging designer award by the CFDA following their debut with Gen Art.
“We are thrilled to be continuing the tradition of Fresh Faces in Fashion, bringing together what we feel is the best slate of new design talent under one roof to share with members of the
industry and press, enabling everyone to get a glimpse of tomorrow's fashion greats...today," says Elizabeth Shaffer, co-president of Gen Art.
Unlike most New York fashion week shows, Gen Art draws not only hundreds of members of the fashion industry including leading buyers, retailers, stylists and members of the press, but
also a consumer audience of fashion enthusiasts. This unique access to Gen Art’s impressive audience grants the emerging designers the opportunity to connect directly with fashion-
forward consumers. Tickets for the event are available at Genart.org and range in price from $50-95.
