'American Idol' Stage in Giorgio Armani
'American Idol' Stage in Giorgio Armani
From the Grammy’s to the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s
Costume Institute Gala, to the “American Idol” stage,
Giorgio Armani has concocted more than just fashions for
Lady Gaga, but rather wearable art. On the May 5th show of
“Idol” Lady Gaga performed “Alejandro” while wearing a silk
mesh bodysuit with embroidered Chantilly lace and crystal
and jet beading. Armani completed the look with a silk
organza cape with an embroidered hood and black patent
stiletto boots.
"American Idol is a real modern phenomenon that has
captured the public’s imagination and delivers great
drama," says Giorgio Armani, who had to let his imagination
run free to complement the spirit of Lady Gaga. "It is fitting
then that the show is to host another modern phenomenon
who has proved to be fascinating, and whose every
appearance is a piece of theatre.”
